## Challenge

Titan Energy worked with a Connecticut town to consolidate and streamline energy procurement. The municipal energy accounts were contracted with numerous energy suppliers with no transparency into whether the town was actually saving money. The decisions were being made by multiple stakeholders and sustainability opportunities were being missed.

Utilizing a comprehensive utility bill audit, the town administration buildings, schools, department of public works, water treatment centers, and senior centers were able to formalize an energy procurement and management strategy. By aggregating the utility accounts with Titan Energy, the town was able to negotiate the most competitive rates from the nation’s top suppliers.

Comprehensive energy strategies must include on-site generation as part of the plan, and there has never been a better time to produce your own renewable power, lock in a low Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) rate, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Titan Energy reviewed all municipal buildings rooftops and open land to determine the best use of the sites. Titan Energy provided insight, guidance and financial support to help the town plan to install solar on multiple buildings.
